Training on Sustainable Rural Sanitation

Date: September 24-28, 2019

Rural Waste-Water Management Unit has conducted third training on “Sustainable Rural Sanitation” specifically designed for the state of Karnataka from September 24-28, 2019 at Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute, Alwar Rajasthan. This five- day programme is attended by 32 participants representing 30 districts of the state. The objective of this training programme was to give insights of different technological options for toilet containments and management of water and waste (solid and liquid) in rural areas and Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation. The participants are panchayat development officer and district solid liquid waste management consultants. The participants have been nominated by the Swachh Bharat Mission (G) Directorate, Government of Karnataka and are involved in actual implementation of the projects on the ground.
