About the menu
This menu is an attempt to aggregate sustainable technologies applicable to non-sewered areas, at one place. The preference for sustainable technologies is mainly due to CSE’s continuous motivation towards usage of sustainable and environmentally harmonious technologies. The interventions presented are preferred to be affordable as well, hence for all technologies an evidence-based route has been opted before inclusion in the menu.Hence each technology is accompanied with at-least one case study from South Asia and/or Africa. The technologies are divided into four main subcategories- a) Onsite Sanitation Systems, b) Decentralised Wastewater Treatment Systems, c) Faecal Sludge Treatment Systems and d) In-situ Treatment Systems. The user can search for technologies based on filters like available space, location of case study, CAPEX, OPEX etc.
