Stakeholder Meeting regarding Chunar FSSTP

The Technical Support Team of Centre for Science and Environmentparticipated in a meeting convened at the office of State Mission for Clean Ganga – Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow on 15 May 2019. The meeting was attended by all the relevant stakeholders (including UP Jal Nigam, Ganga Pollution Control Unit, NMCG technical consultant) to discuss the way forward for the proposed FSSTP in Chunar.

A brief presentation about the project was made by CSE, wherein the salient features of the project and its impact were highlighted to the stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder along with the timelines of each task was debated upon, and CSE, being technical support partner, was given the assurance by SMCG that they will take inputs from CSE at each stage of tendering, finalising the executing agency, and also during construction, commissioning and monitoring of the plant.
