Meeting with Mr Bezwada Wilson, national Convener of Safai Karamchari Andolan

CSE Team had a meeting with Mr Bezwada Wilson, National Convener of Safai Karamchari Andolan (SKA) and a Ramon Magsaysay award winner, who has worked extensively for the upliftment of sanitation workers and elimination of Manual Scavenging. The meeting was conducted on 16^th September 2019. SKA is working closely with Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in conducting surveys across the country including Uttar Pradesh. They have a dedicated team deployed in UP and are also working in Chunar and Bijnor.

The CSE team discussed about their upcoming activities at State and City-level for capacity building and sensitization of stakeholders across the sanitation value chain. CSE and SKA agreed to explore various opportunities to work collaboratively for achieving desired goals.
